Job Summary:
The Surgical Veterinary Technician is responsible for providing high-quality surgical care and technical support in a veterinary hospital setting. 3. Prepare surgical patients for procedures, including pre-operative assessments, administration of medications, and placement of intravenous catheters.
4. Monitor patients during surgeries, maintaining accurate records of vital signs and anesthesia levels, and promptly reporting any abnormalities to the veterinarian.
5. Administer post-operative care to patients, including proper wound management, pain management, and monitoring of recovery progress.
6. Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including patient history, surgical procedures, medications administered, and post-operative care instructions.
7. Educate clients on post-operative care and medication administration, ensuring they have a thorough understanding of their pet's recovery needs.
